What do I Wear?
Dressy-casual attire is recommended for our welcome party on Friday.
Tropical cocktail attire is recommended for our Saturday events. For women wearing dresses, we recommend whatever length you are comfortable with. Please no white dresses. For men, we recommend wearing a blazer or suit jacket. Ties not required.
Can I bring my Little Ones?
We absolutely adore your kiddies! However, Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden spans 83 acres with 18 unfenced lakes and pools full of crocodiles and other wildlife. Our reception tent is directly next to one of these lakes. For the safety of your children, for peace of mind for all attendees, and for a fun parents' night out, we are only inviting a very select few children from our closest family that are separately notified.
Love is in the Details
- This website was made with love by hand by the happy couple! Can you spot the secret gecko on every page?
- Our cocktail party musician, Gordon Daniels, grooves in Key Largo where Bob's mom, Julie, and stepfather, Dan, spend the cold months. The couple enjoys Gordon's music by the pool when they come to visit and escape the Boston winter.
- We have incorporated orchids into our special day to represent and honor Monika's beloved departed paternal grandmother, Czesława.
- Monika's parents are immigrants from Poland and Monika grew up within the Polish culture. You'll experience this with some of the food and drinks, like the wiejski stół, pierogi, kielbasa, barszcz, homemade nalewka made by the bride's father, traditions, music, and more!
Can we explore The Gardens?
Yes, please! We would like to note that the garden is open to the public until 5pm, sunset will be around 5:30pm, and the reception starts at 6pm. The route guests will take will lead you through about half of the main area of the garden. Our guests are also welcome to visit the garden Friday or Sunday if they would like to explore more!
Will we be Outdoors or Indoors?
Our welcome party on Friday is planned to be outdoors, weather permitting.
Our ceremony and after party are indoors, our cocktail party is outdoors (weather permitting), and our reception is under a large function tent. We recommend checking the weather and dressing accordingly. The cocktail area is not entirely paved, but we will provide shoe attachments for anyone wearing heels to be able to walk on the grass.
